 He added, in the first conference held by the Chinese embassy in Cairo this year, that the volume of trade exchange between the two countries reached 19 billion dollars, an increase of 37.3% over last year.

The ambassador explained that Chinese investments in the various Egyptian sectors amounted to about $223 million last year, nearly doubling from 2020.

He revealed that those investments included working on projects in the Administrative Capital and the Tenth of Ramadan City, noting that cooperation in the Suez Canal region contributed to creating more than 40,000 jobs in Egypt.


For his part, the director of the Chinese company expressed his thanks and appreciation for the governor’s reception and his aspiration for fruitful cooperation with the governorate through the implementation of joint projects, noting that the company’s investments in Egypt exceed one billion dollars, and the company has previously implemented a number of giant projects in the field of electricity and solar energy in the governorates of Cairo and Aswan . ,

The director of the company indicated that it was agreed to hold a symposium for experts from both sides to discuss the implementation of a number of projects in the governorate in the field of road construction and renewable energy in the coming period.

The Department of Chinese Language, Faculty of Arts, Helwan University, organized a symposium entitled: (Chinese investments in Egypt and Africa and qualifying graduates for the labor market), attended by Ahmed El-Husseini Eid, a researcher in Chinese-African relations, Cairo University, in the presence of faculty members, the supporting staff, and students of the Chinese Language Department from the four teams.

This is within the framework of preparing Helwan University students for the labor market and linking science to the surrounding developmental issues under the auspices of Dr. Mamdouh Mahdi, acting president of the university, and Dr. Maha Hosny, Dean of the College.

The symposium focused on revealing sustainable economic and trade cooperation, and achieving tangible benefits for the peoples of the two countries. It explained that the areas of joint cooperation represented in a number of aspects, including medicine and health, poverty reduction, and agricultural development, in addition to promoting trade, encouraging investment, digital innovation, green development, and building construction. capabilities, cultural and people-to-people exchange, as well as peace and security.
